We are 75 days away from beginning our Great Loop adventure and yesterday, we took a test trip down to Milwaukee to see the annual 3rd of July fireworks. We picked up some friends of ours at the South Shore boat ramp and we took a brief tour of the river as well as McKinley Marina before anchoring right off of Veteran's Park in front of the War Memorial Center.
The fireworks were spectacular and we even ran across one of the cruise ships that frequent Milwaukee these days, the Ocean Navigator. We decided to head back to Port Washington after dropping Dan and Toni off and arrived safe and sound at our slip around 2:30 in the morning. Ran into heavy fog just outside or Port Washington and got to use my fog horn signal for the first time!
Here are the logs of our trip.
Until next time, follow us as we prepare for our grand adventure departing September 18, 2022.
